The basketball ball is on the basketball player's hand

In July 2021, Florida became the first state to pass a law allowing collegiate athletes to profit off their name, image, and likeness (“NIL”) which previously was illegal under the bylaws of the National Collegiate Athletic Associations (“NCAA”). On November 21, 2022, New York Governor Kathy Hochul signed New York’s NIL law which will become effectively immediately and enhance the rights of protections for NY athletes. Bravo!
